Since teaching at the world-renowned Beverly Hills Playhouse in LA, BHP/New York and especially BHP/San Francisco, Rob Zimmerman and Peter Allas have branched out into an independent studio with classes in Los Angeles, San Francisco Bay Area, Honolulu, HI and online.

 

Due to their long association with the BHP/LA, Rob and Peter are two of the world’s foremost experts in the Katselas approach which has created multiple Oscar, Emmy, and Tony winners. But their approach doesn’t end there and they are always exploring new avenues of acting technique, including very specific energy techniques to help the actor really ‘nail the character.’

 

At least as important as their ability to teach actors of any experience is their deep experience in the industry itself. Both have worked with some of the best directors and actors in the history of the business and they bring that experience to every critique.

 

Rob and Peter have been creative collaborators for over 20 years starting with the award-winning “Savage in Limbo” in Los Angeles. Since then they have worked together in various combinations and have yet to kill each other even once. 

 

Their students include actors from nearly 40 different countries on five continents and their hallmark is training artists to be ‘the best actor in the room’ regardless of race, religion or gender identity.
